February Already??

Time flies!! It's already February and there is so much to catch up on! Since our last post we have been extra busy!!

We celebrated Christmas....

Survived the Pacific Northwest's "Arctic Blast" (yes, they really called it that).....

Had fun at a Portland science museum (we love our membership!!). Now if this would just help them listen to their parents....

We visited Grandma and Grandpa in Redmond, OR, which included a day at the Children's Museum (a favorite destination of ours).....

Hannah and Ashlyn continue to enjoy school. Although, when asked, recess is always the favorite part of their day. It's tough being a kid! They have also recently started gymnastics classes and are having a great time learning new tricks.
We hope everyone is having a great 2009!!

Let it Snow!!

It doesn't snow too frequently in the Portland area, so we try to enjoy it when it does. You can tell the kids miss their Wisconsin winters because they have a blast in any amount of snow that falls, even if only a couple of inches. It's an added bonus for them to have almost a full week of snow days too! Their mom isn't so sure about the bonus part. Ha Ha!!
We scrounged up enough snow to make a little snowman. The kids always enjoy watching it slowly disappear over the next week or so. Weird kids! With the 6-10 inches expected this weekend, we may not see him for a few days though.

The Big Performance!!

Ashlyn was thrilled to perform in her preschool Christmas music program, "Heaven and Nature Sing". We're not quite sure where she got her performing skills, but she loved it up there and took it very seriously. We all enjoyed being able to watch her in the spotlight!! (Sorry the pictures are a little fuzzy!)

Santa Claus is comin' to town

The girls were so excited to see the man in the big red suit. They were able to tell him exactly what they wanted. I hope there is enough room in that sleigh of his!

We finally got lights and decorations up on the outside of our house. We love this time of year!

Let the Holidays Begin!!

We had a great time hunting for the perfect Christmas tree! Last year we battled snow, so this year was much more enjoyable! I guess Wisconsin didn't toughen us up too much. We found a great one this year and we all had fun decorating it!

We hope everyone has a happy holiday season!!

The Fun Continues....

Well, I really thought I would keep up with this more than I have. It looks like I'll be lucky if I update this once a month. We'll see!!

November was busy as usual! We spent Veteran's Day weekend in Redmond, OR visiting Grandma and Grandpa. The girls had a ton of fun swimming, playing games, and just getting into trouble with Grandpa. As you can see, these grandparents take fun (and games) to a whole new level....

We discovered a new bowling alley near our house and put our bowling skills to the test. I don't think any of us will be joining a league anytime soon, but we did have fun! I think we found a new family hobby!

Thanksgiving weekend was especially busy for us! Not only did we welcome the Krueger grandparents for the holiday, but we also celebrated Ashlyn's 4th birthday! Boy, do we know how to party!! Ashlyn chose to spend the day at Kid's Club (an indoor play area for kids...and any brave adults that want to join in). Here are pictures from her big day...

We had a great November! We not only have a 4 year old now, but we also have a lot of fun memories!

Our crazy October

It was a busy October in the Woodsworth house! There were soccer practices and games, field trips, library storytimes, homework, birthday parties and the much anticipated Halloween! We had a great month and look forward to November!

Hannah's soccer season came to a close. She had a great time and even braved the job of goalie (even though it scared her mom just a bit)! No more ER visits, please!! She was tough out there and can't wait until next season!

Erin was able to go along on Ashlyn's first field trip with her preschool class. She's growing up so fast!! They had a great time in the hay maze, petting the farm animals and taking a hayride out to hunt for the perfect pumpkin. Despite the rain, it was a lot of fun!

Hannah and Ashlyn were full of anticipation for Halloween this year! We all had fun carving our jack-o-lanterns. Hannah was very proud of hers, after working long and hard to come up with the spookiest face. The girls both decided this year that they would brave the slimy inside of the pumpkins to clean out the seeds. They had a blast trick-or-treating! They covered much of our neighborhood in search of the perfect treat. They were always stopping to check their inventory. After a lot of brainstorming, Hannah decided to be a clown after seeing the bright red wig that her mom had worn as a kid (although she wore it to be little orphan Annie). We had fun putting together the perfect clown costume! Ashlyn was so excited to walk the streets as Funshine Care Bear! She made a cute little bear!!
